Gridlock Crypto & NFT Wallet

Overview

This project delivers a mobile app & website design that blends visual richness with a practical user experience. I've worked for Gridlock during a span of a year ensuring the UX/UI design meets best practices and brings new users.

Problem & Goal

Managing crypto assets and NFTs securely is complex, with users struggling to balance ease of access, protection against loss, and safeguarding against hacks—leading to a need for a solution that simplifies security without compromising control.

The goal was to organize and simplify the wealth of information surrounding a crypto & NFT trading app, where users can find relevant cryptocurrencies and NFT's, and offer a unique protection against loss of assets or account information.

Process & Approach

The design of this project mostly followed Agile methodology since the whole team followed sprints in order to achieve specific goals. A Minimum Viable Design process is the closest to what I followed during the sprints. After understanding user needs and competitive analysis, and following further mapping, user personas, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototyping I've always iterated back on designs based on the testing and shareholder feedback. The approach started with a revamp of the app, and then gradually improved through best design practices and new features. Take a look at some of the screens from the process:

I designed a secure and intuitive crypto & NFT wallet that balances ease of use with advanced security. Key features included are:

• All-set Onboarding – A frictionless sign-up process with no fluff, satisfying both user and business needs.

• MPC-Powered Security – Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology eliminates single points of failure while maintaining ease of access.

• Guardian Recovery System – Users can designate trusted contacts or app partners to help recover wallet access without compromising security.

• Seamless Multi-Chain Support – A unified dashboard for managing different cryptocurrencies and NFTs in one place.

• Clear Transaction Flows – Redesigned transaction screens with transparent fee breakdowns and confirmations to build trust.

Outcome

• Increased User Retention – 30% reduction in onboarding drop-off due to a more intuitive setup process.
